Our History
A Legacy of Excellence
Al Goldner (1918-2003), a Michigan State University floriculture graduate, began his career managing Dearborn's Regner's Nursery before joining J.L. Hudson Company. In 1953, along with his wife Jean Walsh, he founded Goldner Walsh on Telegraph Road in Pontiac.
Al was a pioneer in landscape design, creating innovative works that blended classical aesthetics with modernism and rare plants. His vision established the foundation for what Goldner Walsh has become today.
In 1988, Tim Travis and Jim Slezinski purchased the business from Al Goldner, continuing his legacy of excellence while expanding our services and capabilities.
Today, Goldner Walsh has evolved with time and includes a full-service landscape design-build company, 6-acre nursery, a tropical greenhouse and garden center, professional florists, curated gift shop, and several unique event venues.
